CCTV Cameras and Recorders
A great range of CCTV components and accessories
At your local OzSpy franchise you will have access to around 5000 different parts and components used in CCTV security system and alarm system installations. So if you don't find what you are looking for here, please give us a call and let us help you through it.
Commercial websites use highly technical terminology in order to outline the advantages of most CCTV Equipment and cover the flaws in other CCTV equipment. So rarely do you get any clear explanation as to the meaning of the jargon, making it difficult for you to make an educated guess about exactly what security system best suits you.
We recommend that you give us a call if you don't understand anything about CCTV components and systems. The last thing we want is for you to end up with a system you don't love.
Here is a snippet of some of the different CCTV system components.
Analogue vs. Digital (IP) Security Systems
Virtually all lower priced systems are either analogue or falsely listed as HD, Analogue CCTV systems are creeping towards end of commercial life with digital IP CCTV security systems taking their place.
Keeping the above in mind, up until recently analogue was all that you could get or at least be reliable so make no mistake the analogue systems are very effective. If quality of image is critical to the specific task or user then IP megapixel systems are what you want.
DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) vs. NVRs (Network Video Recorders)
Analogue CCTV cameras record to DVRs (Ironically called digital video recorders) whilst Digital or IP cameras record to an NVR (Network video recorder). The new age of CCTV will be owned by the full digital systems as performance continues to increase whilst prices fall. If you do decide to use analogue you should ensure the DVR is full channel at D1 at a high frame rate as this will provide good results.
Analogue Security Cameras vs. IP Security Cameras
You cannot mix the cameras unless you buy a Hybrid system so if you have an existing analogue system and you want to go megapixel please contact us to discuss replacing your analogue security system with an IP digital CCTV system. We can also discuss HD-SDI options which in many situations offers a cheaper upgrade to megapixel than a full refit.
