CNSXXX Dome Camera night vision fogginess

When installing dome cameras (eyeball style), sometimes you will see the image totally white, covered with a white haze, or foggy in appearance when the night vision turns on.

This is caused by IR bounce back into the sensor and can be easily rectified by aiming the camera slightly down so there is a 3mm space around the glass front.

Sometimes it may also be caused by a white downpipe or wall reflecting the IR back into the camera.

The 1MP, 2MP and 4MP eyeball style dome cameras can be affected by this.
