This little color unit has infrared LED's built-in for night vision that turn on only when necessary. The receiver plugs into mains power with the plug pack included and has composite video and audio RCA outputs to go to the monitor and or recording device. The camera can run on mains power or battery if needed (limited time on battery power)

An external antenna can be used on the receiver for greater receiving range. (see our X24 antenna range)

is it a sensa camera EG only turns on to record if someone is fornt of the lens rage. If not do you have a surveilance camera that records based on motion...that can be set up in a single postion for say a month to record activity for that long a period? Send details if oo.

Any of our cameras can be setup to record if there is movement with a DVR ( Digital Video Recorder) The DVR has a hard drive installed and for a single camera with motion activation 1 month recording is no problem. I like this little camera so How far can it see at night and how much detail is the image and also what frequency does the wiless transmitter work on?

The IR works for about 10m in total darkness, however it will see further in situations where lighting is available. For the price the picture is quite clear and unit works on the 2.4Ghz band.

Q.1: Can I run this from a new laptop computer? Is there software provided? Q.2: How long does the camera unit battery last for? Can I use rechargable batteries?

You can plug the receiver into a computer if the computer have video input. Battery life is limited as the camera has IR built in. If you were to use a sealed lead acid rechargeable battery depending on size you could get 1-2 days continuous.
