This device also has an SOS button which will let you know the position that the SOS came from. As long as the sim card is on roaming it will work fine.

I have purchased one of your GPS trackers and have replaced the SIM card nd now it does not seem to work at all. Do you have any suggestions?

The tracker works best with a 2G sim card. 3G cards have been known not to work with the unit. That would be the first thing to check. If you were supplied a card with the unit, that would be the best one to use, if not then make sure you are using a 2G card, not 3G.

hi re: this product, most of the similar items ive seen on the net have monthly service fees in order to have access to the tracking, why does this have no on-going fee? as i would like real time tracking and pretty much have the ability to monitor the movement by the second on my pc or mobile. thanks

Ths product works via a sim card, you simply send it a text message and it texts you back the lat/long then you look i up on google earth. For real time you can use track in the box which has a monthly fee andis real time tracking.

i would like to know what kind of signal strength does this unit put out? ie: does it have and external antenna for when the gps unit is hidden inside an excavator? and what if I am not satisfied with the product? is there a refund facility? and finally, is there a shopfront in sydney where I can view these items?

We have found these to have a very good signal. The only thing that will interfere with the signal is metal. So if its in an enclosed metal box, it won't be able to signal the sattelite, if there is one side off the box, it may be a weak signal, however if all sides a missing, you will have no problems. Glass does not affect the signal so in an excavator should be no problem. We have successfully used them in the glovebox of a car as these are mostly plastic, not metal. Our refund policy for products that are not faulty is we charge a 15% or $25.00 fee whichever is the greater. Unfortunately we do not have a store in Sydney at this stage, but watch this space :)
