Frequency range is approx the same as FM band, range is up to 100m LOS in ideal conditions and unit has a 3v internal battery.

I want to listern to anything around on my parked vehicle, which is located 100 feet from my work station. I had thieft where they stole parts off it durning the winter. Is this item going to work 100 feet away from inside and can I mount this listening device outside especially durning the winter months to hear inside of any suspecious activity. Does this come with a reciever or do I purchase that seperate. Go into detail with response

Hi The signal will transmit up to 100 mt so 100 feet is no problem. Ideally it would be better if the transmitter was inside the vehicle as they are not waterproof. However a simple plastic bag should be ok to keep the moisture out without muffling the sound. The receiver is simply an FM frequency radio and can be purchase from us as a kit with the TKS005 and the model number is AVHFSET1

Just wanted to clarify, if i was to put this in a room in my house(30sq) I could park across the road and listen via my FM radio in my car and here all conversations that went on in my house. Could it be placed outside of the house, say on a window frame, could I here conversations from the car again.

Yes you certainly can, however if the car radio is digital it can be a little harder to tune into the frequency, An analogue radio is recommended and up to 100 meters away it should pick up fine.

I am looking for something to listern to around my vehicle which is parked outside where I work. I am approx 50 feet from where my truck is parked. I had some valdalism last winter, the theifts took parts off my car while I was working inside and I never heard anything. I would like to listern to anything suspect around my car. I work inside and I have a elec power sourse and also I have my own personal lap top with broadband access. Can you suggest anything that may help me. Thanks

Hi, any of our listening devices will work fine especially at such a short distance. You can have it inside your truck and have it tuned to an FM radio inside where you are working.

This unit comes with a small button battery that normally lasts between 1 - 2 days (longevity depends on brand of battery). It can transmit to any FM radio, however using a radio with digital tuning will reduce performance. The transmitter comes with an adjustment screw to avoid using the same frequency as any radio stations.
