The MDVR-TAXIv2 represents the next generation of in car GPS video
logging recording systems. It provides an ideal video surveillance
solution for in-car use, when you're wanting to record the driver's
general road view as well as an additional view, such as the driver or
the rear view of the car. The system has an inbuilt video camera with
audio recording and is supplied with an additional wired camera
providing you with accurate video and audio evidence in the event of an
accident or traffic incident.
The unit includes both compact mounting brackets, and a windshield
cradle to allow you to mount the unit to the windshield of the vehicle
or have it sit out from the windshield, similar to a GPS navigation
device. Both mounting methods have been designed to keep the unit out of
the drivers field of view. The built-in GPS logging module not only
monitors the location of the vehicle, but also the times that events
occur and the speed of the vehicle.
The internal camera in the main unit monitors out the front windshield
of the car when the vehicle is being driven or when it is stationary
(power must be supplied to the unit). The additional camera is designed
to be mounted facing the driver in order to monitor driver behaviour, or
mounted on the rear windshield to monitor the rear of the vehicle.
Retrieving and viewing the footage is as simple as removing the SD
memory card from the unit and connecting it to your Windows PC for
viewing using the supplied USB SD card reader.
MAIN FEATURES:
Multiple Recording Methods:
Constant Recording: When set to constantly record, the unit will
continual capture and store recorded video, audio, GPS location data and
time information on the SD card. When the SD card is filled to
capacity, the oldest files will be overwritten.
Event Recording Function: If the impulse sensed by the G-sensor exceeds a
specific limit, or the user presses the emergency recording button, the
video file containing 15 seconds of data prior to the event and 15
seconds into the event is automatically stored and transferred to the
EVENT MOVIE folder on the SD card.
PC Video Player: By viewing the footage within the supplied PC video
player the user can play recorded video and view stored information. The
on-screen maps and graphs easily display vehicle velocity, coordinates,
time and GPS location. Recorded video files can be played at a maximum
resolution of 640x 480 @ 24 FPS.
